Bioshock Infinite is een schietspel dat zich afspeelt in 1912. Oorspronkelijk gold de stad Columbia als een symbool van Amerikaanse idealen. De utopische stad werd opgetild en verdween in de wolken. Gamers stappen in de schoenen van Booker DeWitt, een voormalig agent. Hij is ingehuurd om in deze stad een meisje genaamd Elizabeth te zoeken, maar uiteraard is niet alles pluis.
